We offer these fun and inclusive events as a way to raise funds to support Power2inspire. To fit in with the need to increase activity in the school week, we offer a different and informative way to completing a kilometre. Participants are encouraged to be imaginative in the ways they approach the challenge – not only do some wear blindfolds with one guiding another, some tie legs together, others have used stilts, wheelchairs and crutches. The key is the participants think about the effects of having an impairment and can choose to experience some aspect of disability.
An Inclusive Kilometre can be used by a school, college, club or community group as a way to raise funds to subsidise the costs of a Power House Games or an Inclusive Sports Festival.
